Parodos kvietimo fragmentas

25 May – 31 December 2012

A priest and a theology professor Maironis is one of the most prominent poets of Lithuanian romanticism whose poems Trakai Castle, Dear Lithuania, Where the Šešupė River Flows, and others bear huge significance to Lithuanian nation. The exhibition reveals Maironis’ poetic relation with Palanga where he usually spent his summers. Amidst close friends and soul mates, he would savour there the simple pleasures of life and find the comfort of body and soul. Maironis focuses his soul on the sea (V. Daujotytė). The iconographic exhibition displayed on representational stands encompasses eight themes.
